What will be on your Thanksgiving table?

I feel the older I get the more lazy I become with preparing special dinners.  We now go to my daughters and her family for Thanksgiving dinner  and a Christmas Brunch.  This year I'm helping her. I haven't cooked a Thanksgiving dinner in quite a few years. (about 20), which is why I'm bringing easy things.  So what am I bringing?  Pecan pie, (no I didn't make it, Costco did), asparagus casserole, (yep, making it), and the most highly demanding dish that everyone wants.... Holiday Fruit Salad..... (it's about the only thing I make for the holidays.)  It really is simple, and I'd like to share it with everyone. This was handed down to me from my Grandmother.  I can eat the whole thing by myself! The key to the flavor is the combination of ingredients. If you add or subtract, you will find a totally different flavor. The great part of this is that it is very healthy!

HOLIDAY FRUIT SALAD

Grapes about  1/2 cup of each. (any kinds is fine, I normally use both green and red)
2 banana's sliced about 1/4" thick then in 1/2.
apples (both Granny Smith and another red like Gala.) cut up in edible pieces
2 oranges (divide and cut into edible pieces.
1 large can (16 oz) of pineapple, (you can also use fresh if you prefer, be sure to drain)
(optional is a small can, drained, of mandarin oranges)
1/2 cup of chopped pecans (nuts are optional but really give a good flavor)
After mixing all the ingredients, pour about 2 or 3 tblsp of lemon juice to help keep the apples and bananas from turning.
Mix again and chill. It really is delicious and dresses up any dinning room.  Wish I had a picture now to share, but will take one Thursday to share. If you try the recipe, please let me know what you think.
