While pinning yesterday on my Pinterest, I came across this adorable bib that took me to facebook and to one of my favorite fabric shops online called Shabby Fabrics. If you like shabby pink type fabric, this is the place for you. They have great videos which is where I found this pattern FREE.... I also used my Floriani digitizing software to come up with a saying to go along with the Dribble Bibs. Let's just say I will be making a lot more of these cute bibs. I also LOVE how easy the bow was to make.
I hope watching the video and using the FREE pattern will encourage you to give it a try....
As you can see in the photo, I also used a little cluney lace to trim out the edges. I cut the velcro about 2" so it can be adjusted for newborn to approximately 9 months, depending on baby.... My fabric is Riley Blake that I bought from Whimsical Fabrics , click to find her on FB, or you can go here to find her website. Danielle is a wonderful person to work with. Her Blogspot lets you know what all is going on with her business.
I have found if you use Flannel as a backing on bibs or burp cloths, they absorb the drool very well. So that is what I did with this one and will for the other in the future.

Daddy's Soccer Princess
Without going into a lot of detail, my son LOVES SOCCER. He has been playing soccer since we lived in Italy and he would go down to the soccer field at the end of the street and play with the older boys. He was 3 and these boys were in their teens. They were very patient with him. He's now 38 and has played in Germany with a minor league, was scouted out by a Mexican team by age 24. He turned the team down and decided he wanted to teach instead. So he is a coach at a Charter School. He also is a very accomplished soccer trainer, taking on private and public teams and individuals.
I say all of that, because they are expecting a little girl in March. (date was moved up by 2.1/2 weeks.) He has been telling me the only shoes that baby will have on her feet are soccer socks and boots. But I'm sure he will come around. Anyway, I decided to make a little top that included him too. But I couldn't let it all be too boyish, so the little diaper covers have pink ruffles on the back.
I designed and digitized this using Floriani software. I really should have taken a little more time and gotten it more centered. But over all I think it turned out really cute. I used the soccer ball for the "O" in soccer and a small tiara for the dot in princess..
