The Quilt Continues

The theme for Emersyn's room is Elephants.... so her quilt wouldn't be complete without at least ONE elephant. Choosing the elephant took some time, for sure.  With hundreds to choose from in my folder, it was time consuming, a couple days worth.

I finally chose The Itch 2 Stitch, "Sleepy Elephant Girl" for 2 obvious reasons. This a quilt so you associate that with sleep, and two, it came with a ribbon which was perfect for Emersyn.

The fabric wasn't too difficult to pick.  I decided to use all polka dots of different sizes and colors... I think the elephant is adorable and will be the perfect addition to this quilt.

I notice that my photo skills are lacking when it comes to lighting.  But that block is a nice bright aqua.  The pinks are brighter also.

I enjoy being able to use different mediums when making a quilt; and right now, I have not decided on a pattern or how I'm going to design it. I have an idea, but like these blocks and fabrics, it might change. I guess it will be a surprise for all when I finish.

But.... let me leave you with a brighter photo....
