DIY Kitchen Towel

Good Morning,  Thank you all for being patient with my blog spot. Dad is finally home after 2 months of hospitalization.  During this time I wasn't able to do a lot and as much as I LOVE my dad, and yes, I'm a daddy's girl, I MISS creating.  I will share something I made week before last but didn't get a chance to post.
I wasn't able to take pictures of the steps, but just the picture alone will give you an idea of what to do. The fun thing about this project is that you can take an old towel and make it look new!  I enjoy upcycling!!!

Using up your scraps can also be a good thing.  But I still like to purchase my notions from a few places online.  The poms and lace is from Sugar Pink Boutique.  You will LOVE what they have.

Hope you will give this a try.  I learned a bit while designing this, and that is if  you have a printed towel, be sure you double up on your other fabric so it doesn't show through.  I knew what fabric but wasn't sure what would go where, so I just switched things around until I thought it looked together.

I have an order for one with chevrons. So I can't wait to get home and start making more.

Happy Sewing!

I now have a new domain name that will also take you to the Sew Crafty Me, SC website.
